Chicago Law students are working to prove the innocence of Stanley Jalowiec, a resident of Ohio’s death row

Would that the Ohio Supreme Court Joint Task Force recommend a review of all cases where strong doubt of the safety of the convictions remains – Shawn Hawkins, Tim Coleman, Kevin Keith, Romell Broom to name but a few.

Increasing numbers of wrongful convictions are coming to light recently, and Ohio exonerees have been insisting that there are more innocent men still on Ohio’s Death Row, often convicted on unproven testimony. It is time to ask whether justice is served by keeping the wrong people locked up for decades, or killing them, without a thorough review of their cases today.

    How easy, or otherwise, would it be to compile a list of all the men and women on Death Row, and Life Without Parole, with a strong claim to innocence? A long list, I fear. Keep the posts coming!
